For Liqueur strength: dilute to 25%-35% alcohol. Do not add sugar or flavourings until after dilution, as this will interfere with the accuracy of the Spirit Meter.

For Spirit strength: dilute to 40%-60% alcohol. (Brandy, Whiskey etc. always 43%) Do not add flavouring until after dilution as this will interfere with the accuracy of the Spirit Meter.

Dilute to the correct strength before charcoal filtering.
